I was flippin’ through some old photos, and found this one I’d taken last summer in St. Louis, where salsa wasn’t exactly abundant, nor was the money in my wallet. I’d bought this jar of Taco Bell label salsa (which actually wasn’t all that bad) and was particularly intrigued by the label, which I hadn’t noticed until I got home. Take a look at the top line. Any product touting “Real Taste” and “Real Ingredients” has to be good.
I remember discussions from ad research class… I know “taste” can’t be “real” and last time I checked, it’s hard to put “fake” ingredients into anything. But hey – if that’s what it takes to sell a jar of Taco Bell salsa – then bring on the Real!
